Industry Context

At the federal level, the CBD industry in the United States remains largely unregulated. That means quality standards, testing practices, and labeling requirements can vary widely from brand to brand.

We built Joy Organics in response to that reality. Rather than waiting for regulations to catch up, we chose to hold ourselves to higher internal standards around testing, sourcing, and transparency, and we continue to evolve those standards as the industry changes.

Testing Standards and Transparency

Comprehensive batch testing

We were among the earlier CBD brands to implement multi-panel testing on every batch of product. At a time when many companies tested only for cannabinoid potency, we expanded our testing to include screening for heavy metals, pesticides, and microbial contaminants.

That multi-panel approach remains standard practice for us today and applies across our product line.

Independent verification

All of our products are tested by independent, ISO-accredited third-party laboratories. Those external results are supported by internal quality controls designed to promote batch consistency and verify outcomes before products reach our customers.

Clear access to results

We make Certificates of Analysis (COAs) available so customers can review the test results associated with their specific products, including cannabinoid content and contaminant screening. For us, transparency isn’t a feature; it’s a baseline expectation.

Manufacturing Standards and Quality Controls

Even in an unregulated industry, we believe how products are made matters just as much as how they’re tested.

All of our products are manufactured in FDA-registered facilities that follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). These standards guide every stage of production, from ingredient handling and formulation to packaging, documentation, and recordkeeping. They’re designed to reduce risk, support consistency, and protect product integrity.

For products that carry the USDA organic seal, our manufacturing processes comply with USDA organic requirements to ensure organic ingredients are handled and processed properly throughout production.

We also work with select manufacturing partners that maintain NSF certification, which provides independent oversight of quality systems and facility controls. In an industry where this level of accountability isn’t universal, these certifications add an important layer of assurance.

For years, we offered one of the largest selections of THC-free and broad spectrum CBD products in the U.S. market. These formulations were developed for people who want the benefits of hemp-derived cannabinoids without THC.

Our THC-free products are manufactured and tested using validated laboratory methods to verify zero detectable THC.

While we now offer a small number of THC-containing options, the majority of our product line remains THC-free.

USDA Organic Leadership

We offer more USDA-certified organic CBD products than any other brand in the category.

Our USDA organic offerings span multiple product types, including tinctures, gummies, capsules, and topicals. For products that are not USDA-certified organic, we source organic ingredients whenever possible.

We treat organic certification as a meaningful standard, not a label used selectively or casually.

All of our formulations are developed using defined product specifications and controlled manufacturing processes. We prioritize consistency, stability, and long-term reliability.

Our product development approach emphasizes ingredient traceability, consistent cannabinoid profiles, stability and shelf-life testing, and the careful removal of THC in qualifying broad spectrum formulations while preserving other cannabinoids.

Rather than prioritizing rapid product expansion, we focus on getting formulations right—and keeping them that way.
