What Is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a California law that requires businesses to provide warnings when their products contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), a naturally occurring compound found in cannabis, is listed under Proposition 65. Therefore, any product containing THC, even in trace amounts, must carry this warning label when sold in the state of California.

Our Product Contains THC

Some of our products—such as our Full Spectrum and other THC-inclusive formulas—contain THC (less than 0.3%, in accordance with federal law). Because of this, we are required to include the following warning:

⚠️ WARNING (California Proposition 65): This product contains THC, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

What This Means for You

The presence of this warning does not mean our products are unsafe. Rather, it is a legal requirement intended to inform California consumers of potential exposures to listed chemicals. Our products are third-party tested for quality, potency, and purity—and meet or exceed all federal guidelines for hemp-derived CBD products.
