Dr. Kim Langdon
Board-Certified OB/GYN

After 19 years as a board-certified OB/GYN, I've stepped away from clinical practice, but I haven't stepped away from being the person friends and family call with health questions. Increasingly, those questions are about CBD and hemp-derived products for sleep, joint support, and everyday stress. People are trying these products on their own, often with no guidance on quality, dosing, or safety. That is exactly why I chose to join the Joy Organics Medical Advisory Board. I believe hemp-derived CBD can play a meaningful supportive role in people's wellness routines, and I want the people I care about to have reliable information when they use it.
When I consider lending my name to any brand, transparency comes first: rigorous third-party lab testing, dependable labeling, and a commitment to evidence-based claims. Joy Organics' batch-level Certificates of Analysis and clean sourcing practices gave me the confidence that what I recommend to my own family matches what's stated on the label.
I also believe in being honest about where the clinical evidence is still developing, even though what we do have is quite promising. Because safety data during pregnancy and breastfeeding remains limited, I do not recommend CBD use in those populations, and that cautious approach shapes how our board frames its guidance and education. Where these products can serve a constructive role is as a supportive complement to general stress, post-workout recovery, and sleep routines, always alongside appropriate medical care rather than as a substitute for it.
Retirement gave me the time to be more deliberate about the advice I give. My objective on this board is to help ensure the information Joy Organics shares with its customers remains accurate, medically sound, and responsibly framed — the same standard I hold when someone I love asks me what they should take.
